Another birthday...

This time it was Ava from Karinas class. She had her party in the kids Art Studio in a nearby town called Larkspur, which is the same town the ferry goes from into San Francisco and to the Giants ballpark. We like it around there, its a nice new town with good bars and restaurants. The Art Studio is fully devoted to kids - you can take art classes there every week and its definately something we'll look into because its not too expensive at all - half the price of day care in fact, for a full days art class. Anyway they painted and did craft project as well as the obligatory cake and pizza of course! Kyle had a blast!!!!

More misc pictures

A few more unsorted images...

Kyle loves to sit and "read" a book! He's so happy sitting down, proud and pleased with himself. I'm worried about this pink chair thing, and this tiara business. We need to get some serious Thomas the Tank Engine and Bob the Builder action in his life!

A lovely shot of the 2 of them caught in that rare moment where they arent fighting over something!

Eastertime

Well - last weekend was Easter again and just as last year we went to the local Easter Parade. It was the exact same deal as last year - in fact I imagine as the last 20 odd years - a parade with all the kids dressed up and the fire engine and ambulance leading the parade, followed by an easter egg hunt in the gardens of the houses for kids of all ages. Karina went with her friend Ilona and Kyle managed to join in this year, even picking up a few eggs for himself. Lovely weather and a very pleasant weekend. I even said "no way" to work and had a bit of a break, though I managed to catch the lurgy (thats the flu, to the non-UK readers!) so I felt rotten - but it was still better than being in the office!

Misc images

A few pictures we took last month, in no particular order...

Kyle learned to "sit" - his favourite spot is Karina step - just the right height for his little legs and an idea vantage point to watch over everything thats going on in the kitchen!

Karina got some new red tartan PJs, do you think she's a little bit proud of them? :)

This one is called "Princess Kyle". He likes any headwear at all.... I'm a little concerned about him.

And he likes to eat bubble bath too, so we discovered. Although the resulting facial expressions made me thing perhaps its not quite as tasty as he first expected!

...after party exercise

And after the party we played on the beach until it was getting dark!

Birthday part season continues...

Continues unabated! We had 3 more lately. Heres one of them - Connor, a boy in Karinas class, had his party at a kids gym near the office, right on the beach under the Golden Gate. I didnt go to this one - I went to work... no surprise there huh? - but I think she enjoyed playing on all the gym equipment. A good way to work off some of the cake!

Space Center

The kids in karinas class at school have been doing a project for a few montsh now on "Space" - planets, rockets, you know the thing. Its actually been great for them - Karina has learned all the planets, which ones are rock, and which are gas, all about constellations etc etc. She even saw a "constellation" in her choc chip cookie today! LOL! So a few weeks ago we went one weekend to the Space Centre in Oakland which was a blast... lots of old rockets and capsules, space suits and tons of science experiments. Karina loved it!

A few updates incoming

I guess I have 5 minutes "free" - note teh use of quotes! - so I'm gonna blast through a few updates. Here we go...

Remembering Dad

Well, its been 4 months since Natalies Dad passed away and I do not know where that time has gone. Tomorrow would have been his birthday, so she wanted to write a few words to remember him. Rather than add this to the blog we made a short web page for her to express a ittle about how much he meant to her, click on the following link to go there:

Remembering Dad

We're all thinking about the family and I'm sure everyone who knows her is sending all their love and support, I know I am.
