ITS ALL BROKEN!
So remember that nice newly renovated house we moved into in December? Well last week the oven broken down (long story - its a high tech nightmare of a thing and basically locked us out!) so now we have no oven for 2 weeks until the replacement part comes. Well if that wasnt enough... we have been seeing damp patches on the floors of both bathrooms (they're tiled and the tiles just look a little discoloured, as if water was beneath and slightly coming through the pores). We reported to the landlord who said, basically, we're imagining it. Anyway yesterday we noticed theres no hot water. The boiler is out... the wind, we assumed, blew the pilot out as it was very very windy all day.When I checked it, I smelled gas so I didnt want to relight it. Landlord comes over again (and is pretty much p'd off with us) and lights it. Only as he's leaving I say "sorry but it doesnt 'sound' right does it?" He agrees, checks again, noticed theres dripping water inside on the burner. And around the floor too (leading to the 2 bathrooms - coincidence? I think not). Eventually he decides the boiler is kaput and today we had to have a complete new boiler system installed. Looks like we didnt imagine it after all huh Mr "know it all"? :)
It never rains it pours!!!! Still, at least it wasn't our $900. Daft git!
