Ladies and Gentlemen - WE HAVE A WINNER!
Well oh well, Daddy was in super proud Dad mode today.So, as you may know, Karina staretd swimming back earlier this year after never having swam a meter in her life. She loved it, but its been a bit of a struggle - sticking to lessons a couple of times every week, religiously. And paying for them of course! Well, it seems that it paid off this week.
As her lessons are now on week days, I havent seen her in the pool for many many months. Today was the end of year swimming meet - all the age levels and classes were at the pool for heats and competitions. Karina was in 2 - freestyle and backstroke.
And guess what? She only won both of them!!!!!!!!! I think I was the only maniac running down the length of the pool photographing her, but what the hell - I was so very very proud of my little girl, she is swimming like a fish! She even got her best time and won a medal and a ribbon.
WOW!

VICTORIOUS!!!!!!!!!! And if thats not enough - theres a Geordie waiting for her at the finish line! Man oh man.... just needed champagne to finish it off perfectly :)
